invites you to hear:

"Can you keep a secret? You can with quantum cryptography!"

by

Dr. Philip Bond
Lecturer in Cryptography in the Mathematics Department of Oxford University.

Abstract: Keeping messages and data secret is an essential part of modern life. Secrecy is needed when you send your credit card details over the internet for example. However whilst it is believed that modern secrecy systems (cryptosystems) are very strong it has never been rigorously proven. If we want absolute and guaranteed security how can we achieve it? This talk will show how it can done.
